Ashburton
Manageable lifestyle blocks this close to town don't come up often. This one sits about 15 minutes from Methven and 20 minutes from Ashburton. The current owners have loved this home for over 30 years, and it shows. The three-bedroom 1915 Bay Villa offers 100m² (more or less) of easy single-level living on 1.59ha (more or less). The living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan, with plenty of natural light, warm timber touches and views out over the garden. The lounge is cosy, and the wood burner keeps the whole space warm through winter. The main bedroom is a generous size and tucked away nicely from the living areas. The second bedroom is a comfortable double. The third is a smaller room that fits a single bed, making it ideal as a child's room or home office. The bathroom has both a separate shower and a bath, and there's good storage throughout. Outside, the covered deck is a great spot for a morning coffee or a long lunch with friends. Established gardens and wide lawns surround the house, with open rural views beyond. There's a single carport plus ample additional parking. The land is where the real opportunity lies. There's plenty of room to add more sheds or build the dream workshop you've always wanted. You could also fence off paddocks and run a few of your own freezer animals. Close to everything Methven and Ashburton have to offer, with Greenstreet Domain just down the road. Thompsons Track is nearby, giving you an easy commute to Rakaia, Geraldine, Methven or Christchurch. Methven Primary, Mt Hutt College, Mayfield School and Mount Somers Springburn School are all within the wider district and positioned upon a common school bus route. A lifestyle property this well located won't be around for long. Call Sam and Andy Gorman today to arrange a viewing or to access the Property Files.
