Queenstown
Set at the foot of the hillside at 62C Middleton Road, this newly completed architecturally designed home is shaped by its relationship with the landscape. Tussock-covered hillsides, alpine light and sweeping views across Lake Whakatipu to The Remarkables make the outlook part of everyday life. Snow-capped peaks in winter, long summer evenings over the water a view that changes with the seasons. Private and tucked into the hillside, this is a home that gives itself entirely to the view. Designed by architects Amy Hendry and Claire Paterson of Four Walls Architecture, the home responds carefully to its alpine setting, sitting lightly within the hillside while opening out towards the lake and mountains beyond. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the uninterrupted outlook, drawing the landscape deep into the living spaces, while the wraparound Kwila deck extends the home outdoors, giving the architecture a rare sense of floating above the hillside. Inside, the architecture is calm, warm and contemporary. Open-plan living is anchored by a refined kitchen with waterfall-edge benchtops and Fisher & Paykel appliances. Three well-proportioned bedrooms all feature built-in wardrobes, including a master with ensuite, alongside a stylish main bathroom. A dedicated secure storage area provides space for skis, bikes and the gear that comes with life in Queenstown, while two off-street parking spaces add everyday convenience. Set between Queenstown and Frankton, 62C occupies a rare pocket of calm, a small enclave of architect-designed homes elevated above the marina, quietly removed yet remarkably connected. Walk to the lake, lakeside cafés and the Frankton Track, with Queenstown, the airport, ski fields, golf and Central Otago's renowned dining and wine experiences all within easy reach. Developed by James Clarke Property, the home is newly completed and has never been lived in. With 365-day Visitor Accommodation consent, it offers genuine flexibility - live here full-time, keep it as a private Queenstown escape, or operate it as visitor accommodation throughout the year.
