Nelson
Welcome to 5 Maitai Valley Road, a charming character home relocated to this site in 1988. Set on Nelson’s city fringe at the entrance to the iconic Maitai Valley, it offers a special combination of history, space and lifestyle. Step out the front door and turn left for the Maitai’s swimming holes, river, parks, walking and cycling tracks, mountain-bike trails, the Centre of New Zealand, and Maitai Golf Course. Turn right and Nelson’s central city, cafés, shops, and Nelson Colleges are within walking distance. It’s a rare spot where outdoor adventure and everyday convenience sit so close together. Inside, generous open plan living creates a welcoming place for family life. The large kitchen has room to cook, share meals and gather, while doors open to a private, sun-soaked deck and garden. Enjoy relaxed afternoons outside, fire up the barbecue or unwind in the spa after a day exploring the valley. A wood burner with wetback, three heat pumps and woodsheds provide options for keeping comfortable through the seasons. Upstairs are three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Downstairs, a separate office, bathroom and laundry offer useful flexibility for work, family and guests. The fully fenced property provides privacy and room to enjoy the outdoors. This is a comfortable family home, ready to enjoy, with character and scope to add your own style over time. Relocated from NMIT in 1988, the house has its own place in Nelson’s story. Now it’s ready for a new family to make memories here and begin the next chapter.
